So apparently summer down here in South Florida starts in May....okay, noted. We had maybe a week of spring-like weather and then BAM, it was 90 degrees and humid. That being said, theme this month has been bright summer colors, radiance, and moisture. I feel it's probably safe to say that's going to be the theme for the rest of the summer.. :) it's going to be a HOT and humid one this year.
L'Oréal Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil
This has actually been a favorite for a few months. Back in March, I noticed that my skin was looking very dull. I became determined To find an affordable serum that would take a little boost in the facial radiance department. While browsing the TJMAXX beauty section. (I could and have spent hours doing this...), I came across this little cutie. I am a sucker for travel sizes! On the box it claims, "It deeply nourishes and replenishes dull - dry skin with a unique blend of 8 Essential oils. The non-greasy and luxuriously lightweight formula absorbs quickly for all-day hydration"...umm okay jackpot. Every morning and night I would add 5-6 drops to my moisturizer and then I would pat it into my freshly cleansed skin. It is definitely lightweight and absorbs very quickly which is nice. This oil is exactly what I was looking for, and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin. The texture is better, it is more radiant, and clearer. It was exactly what I needed for my wedding beauty regimen and it will be perfect for the summer. In fact I love this stuff so much that I've already gone through one bottle and repurchased a new one.
Clairol Hair Food Moisturizing Hair Mask
Thanks to the heat and humidity, my hair has felt even drier than usual. After reading a lot of positive online reviews, I decided to Try this hair mask. First of all, this stuff smells delicious! I love the smell of honey and this has the perfect mixture of sweet but not too sweet. This has worked really well on my thin, dry, and frizzy hair. It isn't too heavy which is nice and I have definitely noticed a difference in my hair texture.
Essie Polishes: Vibrant Vibes & Peach Side Babe
Usually I am all about my dark toes and nude nails, but I think the warm Florida weather has inspired me to shake things up with vibrant colors! Essie came out with these shades in 2015, so they aren't new, but they are a recent discovery for me. (TJMAXX again...) I have found that Essie formulas are a hit or miss and these two polishes are a hit! They are very opaque and dry quickly, isn't that what we all want in a polish? I love how bright they are and I especially like how they look with my new Florida tan. Literally all month (except for the wedding week) the Vibrant Vibes has been on my toes and the Peach has been on my nails. Vibrant Vibes is the perfect neon green shade and Peach Side Babe is a peachy coral shade for my skin tone. Usually coral polishes are too orangey for me, but this is more of a pinky coral and I love it!
Revlon Gloss: Pango Peach
Pango Peach is an oldie, but a goodie. I think this gloss is the epitome of a summer lip product. The color is great, it has a little shimmer, and it is very moisturizing. This gloss has been in my purse all month and I have worn it pretty much every day. I wear it over lipstick or on its own and it is the perfect summer shade. This will definitely continue to live in my purse this summer.
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick #37
Rimmel lipsticks are my go to drugstore lipsticks. They are extremely affordable and I like the formula. This shade was my go to lipstick for all of the wedding festivities and has also lived in my purse this month. It is the perfect coral red shade. I use this both with and without a liner and it stays pretty well either way. I have loved wearing this underneath the Pango Peach Gloss, the two ho really well together.
NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick: Pearl Pink Lace
I have been a huge fan of the NYX Liquid Illuminator for a while now, but I really wanted to give the chubby stick a go. (That's what she said.) I have been really impressed with this highlighter. The stick is much easier to apply and it gives a really nice natural highlight. I am very lazy when it comes to my makeup, so the easier the better. They have another shade that I plan on trying eventually called Sun Kissed Crush. I'm now really interested in trying a bronzer chubby stick.
