When BAE is away...you DIY the weekend away...
Sunny weather, DIY wedding crafts, fur baby snuggles, and an impromptu shopping trip... yep I think you could call that a successful weekend. It was just the fur babies and I this weekend. John left for The Big Apple on Friday morning with some of his students for their Spring Break trip. He is chaperoning 30 high school students...NOPE. They were supposed to leave tomorrow afternoon, but there is a blizzard that is going to hit tonight and all of the flights are canceled. So now he is going to be stuck in an airport with 30 kids...during a blizzard... yea. Meanwhile, down here in Florida it is currently 80 degrees and overcast... poor John.
I hate that he is gone and obviously I miss him. However, I have to admit that I get so much more done when I am alone. The dogs and I pretty much lived on the back porch this weekend. The weather was SO nice. We ate breakfast and I was able to finish a few wedding DIY projects. We are now officially two months away from the wedding as of today and I am stressing out, but it was nice to tick off a few more items from my to-do list.
These cool little lizards are everywhere down here! They look like mini iguanas and they are really cool to watch. Charlie and Gator love chasing them. They have never actually caught one, though. They are extremely fast. We also saw the baby alligators in the pond. I say babies but they are about 2ft long. I won't walk the dogs out back because I am so paranoid about the gators. They are actually pretty cute, minus the fact that they could eat my dogs. I wasn't able to get a good picture, but I will try again the next time I see them.
I FINALLY tried this beautiful blush from Milani. I have read mixed reviews about it, but so far so good. Plus, I mean come on... could the packaging be any more gorgeous! Snaps for Milani!
How do you feel about La Croix? Also, how do you pronounce it, because I'm pretty sure La Craw is not correct...? :) I tried the Passion Fruit flavor this weekend and loved it. I'm definitely adding it to my list of La Croix favorites.
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend!
